Using Your Photo CD or DVD
It is easy to get started using your scanned pictures on your home computer! Let’s take a brief look at how your E-Z Photo Scan picture disk works.
Start by placing the CD or DVD in your computer’s optical disk drive. If your photos are on a DVD, make sure that your computer has a DVD drive and not just a CD drive. DVD drives will open both CDs and DVDs, but DVDs will not open on a CD drive.
One of the ways that E-Z Photo Scan delivers your scanned photos is on a photo slideshow disk. These disks have your scanned photos on them, along with free software to plays your photos in a slideshow. Let’s take a look at one such example using Google’s free Picasa slideshow viewer.
If the Photo Disk does not open automatically in Windows, open up “Computer” or “My Computer.” This can typically be accessed from the Start menu or the Window-Flag button in the bottom-left of your screen.

Find your CD or DVD drive, and double-click on it to open it.

If the slide show has not started yet, double-click on PicasaCD.exe to launch it. This will open the main screen of the Slideshow CD.

Your photos will be displayed by album or folder for easy navigation.

Clicking on the Play button or on an album will launch a slideshow of your photos! Simply click again in the middle of the screen to exit the slideshow.
You will want to move a copy of your photos to your personal computer’s hard drive for easy access and sharing. You can do this by clicking on the “Save to Disk” button on the bottom of the screen! You will be asked where you want the files saved on your hard drive. After selecting the location, click on “OK” and your files will start copying over automatically.
If you are running a Mac instead of Windows and want to get the photos into iPhoto, Double-click on the photos on your desktop.

Double-click on the “Pictures Folder”

Select all of the folders

Then drag and drop the folders onto the iPhoto icon on your dock. The photos will be copied over to your computer and arranged as iPhoto events automatically.
