Unlocking Your Photos

How it Works

E-Z Photo Scan bridges the gap between people and the latest technology to make photo and document conversion easy and affordable. Once you have a scanned digital copy of your photos to keep and protect, you can create all sorts of things from your photos without destroying your master copy.

The E-Z Photo Scan process starts by checking in your photos to be scanned. Each album or photo collection is assigned a unique ID number.

At the same time all album contents are immediately cataloged using digital cameras. This allows us to know exactly how your photos were originally arranged.

Photos are prepared for high-resolution scanning by gloved professionals trained in photo-handling techniques outlined by the national archives.

The albums photos are scanned by trained technicians using state-of-the-art Kodak photo scanning hardware and software. E-Z Photo Scan captures photos at a high, 600 dots-per-inch resolution to ensure quality preservation of your family photos.

After scanning, the latest technology is used to reassemble your albums and scrapbooks exactly as they were before scanning. Photos that were arranged in envelopes or boxes are reassembled in the same manner.

Meanwhile, technical staff check all scanned images for quality, perform any edits that you have requested, and burn the scanned images to a Kodak Photo Disk.

Your Photos, Unlocked

While, the photo scanning process may be interesting, the really exciting part is what you can do with your photos once they are scanned.

You want a good selection of the best materials available for your projects, and this includes your photos! The larger and more organized your photo library is, the easier it is to find the perfect picture for your scrapbook page, household project, or other crafts and hobbies!

Once digital, there is lots of software, some of it very inexpensive software or actually free such as Google’s Picasa. These applications can be used to organize and find photos by events, faces, places, and things... or even by the main colors in the photo!

If you’re in the mood to get really creative, you can apply basic photo fixes or effects to make a copy of the photo that is just perfect for your project before having it printed. You still have an untouched digital copy, so you can go back and create multiple effects from the same photo. Crop it, enlarge it, shrink it, and change color or focus effects with just a few quick clicks.

Have you ever wished that you could create duplicate scrapbooks or photo-crafts for your sister, mother, or best friend? Having scanned copies of your photos frees them up to create multiple projects with the same shots!

As an added bonus, your scanned photos are better protected from natural disasters, such as fires, floods, and hurricanes. Keep a copy of your photo disks at a family member’s house or in a firesafe, and you are better prepared for life’s unexpected emergencies.

At E-Z Photo Scan, we make it easy for you to keep, protect, share and connect.
